More than three weeks have passed since the University of Arizona started in-person classes and Pima County has already seen a 16% increase in the number of coronavirus cases.
UA President Robert Robbins told CNN this was expected.
"So we’re aggressively going after parties — in particular and large gatherings, because as you well know that’s where the highest rate of transmissibility is."
Robbins said students who do not follow the universities policies and procedures will first get a warning. However, a student could face suspension or even expulsion.
