As the country races to create and distribute a vaccine for COVID-19, two new polls suggest Arizonans are among the least likely to get the shot when it becomes available.
One report from OH Predictive Insights shows 38% of Arizonans say they would not get the vaccine, even if it were offered for free.
That number stands in contrast to national data, showing about half of Americans saying they would get the vaccine and about 20% who would refuse.
The state’s effective virus reproduction rate is now at its highest since June 18. The Governor’s press person downplayed the increase, saying the model is sensitive to days with high reports of cases or low lab numbers, which may not provide the full picture.
There are now 32 other states with lower virus reproduction rates.
