Bill Armstrong Named New Arizona Coyotes General Manager

The Arizona Coyotes have found their new general manager.

The team has hired Bill Armstrong of the St. Louis Blues.  SB Nation reports the Blues assistant general manager, has been tapped to join the Arizona hockey team.

Coyotes fans are in luck. SB Nation says Armstrong has a history of scouting and developing a Stanley Cup winning team. In the past, the team has had some issues on these two fronts.

It’s currently unknown what role Steve Sullivan, the interim general manager, will play in the organization moving forward.

Former general manager John Chayka stepped down a week before the Coyotes’ Stanley Cup qualifier series in July.
