Typically when you mention bats, the reaction is not positive.
They’re considered to be dark, mysterious creatures. And of course, in fiction, you’d likely think of Batman and Dracula — the latter having the extra creepy component of draining human blood to keep himself alive.
So it’s no surprise that, a few days ago, there was strong reaction when the National Weather Service picked up what looked like thousands of bats on its radar.
The Show spoke with Angie McIntire, the bat specialist with Arizona Game and Fish, about what happened.
