Tourist Cities Like Sedona Struggle To Balance Growth, Affordable Housing

Spending time outdoors has been one of the few ways to take a break — or even keep a relatively normal routine — during the pandemic. And for some people, that has meant leaving town and going to more rural areas like Sedona.

A recent report by researchers at the University of Arizona and the University of Utah addresses some of the challenges Sedona and similar cities face when it comes to balancing tourism, jobs and preserving the natural resources that attract visitors.

The Show spoke with Philip Stoker of the University of Arizona about the research and why he believed it was vital to explore such a topic.
