ASU is partnering with Lake Havasu City Friday to offer a saliva-based COVID-19 test, developed by the university’s Biodesign Institute.
The university is teaming up with the western Arizona city and the Arizona National Guard to help offset long testing wait times for Mohave County residents. The university will offer free tests, event staffing and a drive-through site location.
The event will be at the Lake Havasu City Aquatic and Community Center Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., with pre-registration required. Test results are expected within 24 to 48 hours.
ASU plans to also visit Nogales and Rio Rico in mid-October.
