The League of Arizona Cities and Towns has a new president: Peoria Mayor Cathy Carlat was recently unanimously voted into the position for a two-year term, after serving as the group’s vice president.
Some mayors have been critical over the past several months of what the state has and has not allowed cities and towns to do to try to slow the spread of COVID-19, and there have been some policy-related tensions over the past few years between the state and its cities.
The Show spoke with Mayor Carlat about her new role and more.
