Despite the president’s COVID-19 diagnosis, the Trump campaign continued its aggressive on-the-ground strategy this week, making stops in Nevada and Arizona on Thursday. Vice President Mike Pence held a rally in Peoria at TYR Tactical, a company that manufactures tactical gear.
Pence said the company was one of many businesses that have been able to survive and expand thanks to tax cuts and economic aid from the Trump administration.
"And I heard that TYR Tactical took advantage of that Paycheck protection program to keep people on the payroll and we are thankful for that,” he said.
Pence told the crowd the election is a choice between two different visions for the country.
He said the Trump vision stands for the rule of law and a Trump White House would continue to deliver conservative judges like Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett.
“We are 26 days away from another great victory for the American people," Pence said, "and the road to victory runs right through Arizona.”
Pence defended the Trump administration’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and said he expects the president to return to the campaign trail soon.
