New Position At ASU Will Study How Arts Respond To And Shape Culture, Social Change

What role do the arts play in society? How do they respond to or shape our culture and current events? Those are the kinds of questions Deborah Cullinan thinks about, and will be bringing to a new position at Arizona State University's Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts.

Cullinan is CEO of the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, and is the school’s inaugural National Field Leader in Residence.

The Show spoke with her about how she describes the new role she's taken at ASU.
