Arizona Lawmaker Leaves Hospital After Being Treated For COVID-19

An Arizona state representative who had been intubated for COVID-19 has left the hospital.

Lorenzo Sierra represents the Avondale area in the state House. He was hospitalized for COVID-19  earlier this month while visiting family in the Washington, D.C., area.

His condition was critical enough that he had been put on a ventilator. He left the hospital Wednesday and plans to remain in the D.C. area for a few days before returning to Arizona.

He tweeted that he fought for his life and said he beat the odds with “the power of prayer and love.”
