Public Input Sought For I-10 Wild Horse Pass Corridor

The public is invited to weigh in on plans to reduce congestion on a segment of I-10 that cuts across the Gila River Indian Community.

The 26-mile segment is the last portion of I-10 between Phoenix and Tucson with only two lanes in each direction. Several ideas have been proposed to reduce congestion in that area.

ADOT, the Gila River tribe and other agencies are inviting the public to weigh in on the proposals by attending an online meeting Nov. 18 from 5:30-7 p.m. or visiting the project’s website.

Among the proposals are plans to add a third lane in each direction, either in the median or outside the current roadway. There is also a no-build option, and a possible extension of the HOV lanes between Loop 202 and Riggs Road.

You can register to participate  online or by phone at 833-380-0669 at the time of the event. You can also  visit the project website a few minutes before the event and click the meeting link to participate.
