Over the summer, The Show spoke with Donna Lewis, the superintendent of the Creighton Elementary School District in Phoenix, to get a sense of how she and her district were preparing for an exclusively distance-learning based start to the school year.
Now, more than two months in, she says the district is working under a combination hybrid model, with small groups of students coming back to school over the past few weeks.
But the majority of students and teachers are still online; she estimates about 30-40% of learning is happening in the classroom.
The Show checked in with Lewis for an update.
