Arizona has a goal of making sure 60% of its residents have some kind of post-secondary degree or credential by 2030. But new data show to reach that goal, more attention needs to be paid to specific populations.
In its second annual State of Attainment report, Achieve60 Arizona found that 46% of Arizonans between the ages of 25-64 have a post-secondary degree or credential — that’s an increase of 4% in the four years since the goal was established.
But those percentages are lower among Latinx, Native American and Black and African-American learners. So the group convened task forces for those groups to try to figure out how to bring the numbers up.
