Two days after President Donald Trump made his re-election pitch to Arizona voters, Vice President Mike Pence swung through the state as well.
At campaign rallies in Flagstaff and Tucson, Pence praised Arizona’s response to the coronavirus and warned that Democrat Joe Biden would shutter the state’s economy if elected.
In a state where Trump has routinely trailed Biden in the polls, Pence urged Arizonans to understand the gravity of their votes. A Democrat hasn’t carried Arizona’s 11 electoral college votes since 1996, but those votes could be crucial to Trump’s re-election.
“It’s on Arizona,” Pence said. “We got four more days to win four more years.”
Pence urged rally goers to cast their ballots on Friday, the last day of early, in-person voting in Arizona.
