Sierra Vista has reinstated its mask mandate to help stop rising cases of coronavirus.
The southern Arizona community first passed its mask mandate in June but suspended it nearly two months ago.
Although the city suspended the mandate, it kept it on the books in case it needed to be reinstated.
As cases started to rise, locally and statewide, Mayor Rick Mueller decided to do just that.
The order has a number of exemptions, including exercising outdoors, eating or drinking at a restaurant, or while in a vehicle.
