Talking Stick Resort Arena, the home of the Phoenix Suns, will be ready for the start of the new NBA season in December, according to a team spokesperson.
NBA player representatives voted last week to approve a plan to start the league’s next season on Dec. 22.
The arena in downtown Phoenix is undergoing a $230 million renovation, but enough progress has been made to host Suns games in late December.
However, that doesn’t mean fans will be welcomed back as well. The NBA proposed a swift start to the next season, rather than wait for the threat of the coronavirus to subside, knowing it could be months before large gatherings are deemed safe.
