Northern Arizona received its first major snow storm this fall.
“We saw around the Flagstaff area 2 to 4 inches," said meteorologist Mark Stubblefield of the National Weather Service in Flagstaff. "Some of the outlying areas picked up about 5.5 inches."
Stubblefield warned motorists to drive with caution on slick roads as after the storm. The Arizona Department of Transportation reported multiple crashes and slide-offs in higher elevations.

USE EXTREME CAUTION in higher elevations. We've had numerous crashes and slide-offs. There is also rain in Tucson.
Proceed slowly, leave plenty of space between vehicles and check with https://t.co/BnFvGaRiId and your AZ511 App before leaving home.#knowsnow pic.twitter.com/LCFx3gFBi2
ADOT also reminded drivers on Monday about the importance of being prepared to drive in the snow. A message on Twitter recommends drivers to being extra water, an ice scraper and a first-aid kit, among other supplies, when traveling in the snow.
