The certification of ballots in Arizona will take place Monday, Nov. 30. — officially marking the end to the 2020 election season here.
Both the Democratic and Republican parties can claim success.
President-elect Joe Biden won the state, becoming only the third Democratic presidential nominee to do that since World War Two. U.S. Senator-elect Mark Kelly will give Arizona a pair of Democrats in the Senate for the first time in about 70 years.
On the GOP side, the party maintained legislative majorities and did well with Maricopa County offices — including reclaiming the recorder’s office from incumbent Adrian Fontes.
Democratic Party Chair Felecia Rotellini has decided to leave the position, while Kelli Ward, for now, remains Republican party chair.
