Arizona Retailers Association Reminds Customers To Be Safe This Black Friday

This Black Friday may look a little different from years past due to COVID-19, however in-person participation is still expected.

The Arizona Retailers Association head, Michelle Ahlmer, said stores have made accommodations such as curbside pickup as well as starting Black Friday sales as early as September. She reminds customers to wear masks.

“Everybody really needs to really be patient and consider all of the things we’ve been dealing with for months, they haven’t gone away. We need to be more diligent now as COVID numbers are spiking,” Ahlmer said.

She also said some stores will not be open on Thanksgiving day, and some will not be open for 24 hours, as they need time to sanitize. She said there may be lines outside stores to help control capacity.
