Cindy McCain, the widow of the late U.S. Sen. John McCain and a critic of President Donald Trump, is reportedly being eyed by President-elect Joe Biden for an ambassador post.
According to a report by The Times of London, McCain is the frontrunner to become Biden’s U.S. ambassador to the United Kingdom.
McCain’s endorsement of Biden, a longtime family friend, has been credited with helping Biden become the first Democratic presidential candidate to win Arizona since 1996.
Appointing McCain, a Republican, would help fulfill Biden’s push for bipartisanship in his administration.
