Gov. Doug Ducey says COVID-19 continues to move in the wrong direction in Arizona. But in a news conference Wednesday he said he doesn’t agree with those calling for curfews or shutdowns of non-essential businesses.
“I believe we should instead focus on accountability and enforcing the rules we have in place now,” Ducey said.
Ducey announced an additional $60 million to boost staffing at Arizona hospitals. That is expected to bring 500 nurses to the state before the end of the year.
Ducey also announced $1 million to help restaurants expand outdoor dining options.
