'Honked At For A Punchline': How It Feels To Do A Comedy Show During COVID-19

During our occasional Stand-Up Sit Down series, we’ve profiled Arizona comedians and explored just how much success a stand-up here can achieve. In the midst of the pandemic, the answer is probably, "Not much." But before the dramatic changes COVID caused, Phoenix was seen as a place ready to be established as a strong comedy market.

Last year, we profiled Mike Turner — one of the better known stand-ups in the Valley — and he indicated it may be time for him to move on. In January — before the pandemic — he took the leap for the stages of Los Angeles.

He spoke with The Show for more about that decision and about comedy in the age of COVID-19.
