Peoria Puts In New COVID-19 Restrictions, Protocols

The city of Peoria has modified some of its events, activities and operating hours to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

While community and neighborhood parks and trails will remain open, the city is setting restrictions and protocols for park amenities like bathrooms and playgrounds, as well as other areas around the city.

The Peoria Community Center is now closed and most city events and classes have been postponed or cancelled. The splash pads will remain closed and all sports facility rentals scheduled between now (Dec. 8, 2020) and Jan. 8th have been cancelled.

The Rio Vista Recreation Center and Peoria libraries will remain open with a face mask requirement in place. Groups will be limited to 10 people in city facilities and buildings.
