It’ll cool down quite a bit in the Phoenix area this week.
National Weather Service meteorologist Mark O’Malley says to look for high temperatures in the 60s for much of the week.
Areas near the center of Phoenix will see temperatures drop into the upper 30s — but outlying areas will get even colder.
“There’s a chance there will be a couple mornings that some of the outlying areas, those outside of like the Loop 202 or the 101, outside those areas, could see temperatures flirting with the freezing mark,” O'Malley said.
Last week’s rainy day was a fluke, unfortunately. O’Malley says there’s very little chance of precipitation statewide — but temperatures in Flagstaff could drop down into the single digits in the early mornings.
