New Lawsuit Asks Court To Order Maricopa County To Comply With State Senate Committee’s Subpoenas

A new lawsuit asks the Maricopa County Superior Court to order the county to comply with a state senate committee’s subpoenas for the county's voting equipment and materials.

The deadline is Dec. 29, leaving room for appeal ahead of the U.S. congressional review of the already state certified electoral votes on Jan. 6th.

Republican Sen. Eddie Farnsworth says this is not political.

“The main intent is that we in Arizona ensure that our elections are secure and when they come out that they're fair,” Farnsworth said.

Attorneys for the 11 Republicans who would have served as Trump's electors have filed their own legal papers also asking the judge to uphold the subpoenas.
