Arizona Proposition 208 Lawsuit Goes To Court

A lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of Proposition 208 is getting its day in court today.

Prop. 208, or the Invest in Education Act, already survived several legal challenges before it qualified for the ballot and was approved by voters in November before this suit was filed. But the Goldwater Institute says voters should not have been able to approve the tax on wealthy Arizonans.

Today, attorneys arguing against the proposition are asking a judge to keep the act from taking effect while the case is heard.

The Show spoke with Howie Fischer of Capitol Media Services for more about this latest development.
