Sen. Martín Quezada Says Arizona Senate Isn't Enforcing COVID-19 Protocols

Although COVID protocols have been put in at the Arizona Capitol by Senate President Karen Fann (R-Prescott), Senator Martín Quezada (D-Phoenix) worries there’s a lack of enforcement.

That worry is only compounded when he points out at least one lawmaker, Kelly Townsend (R-Mesa), says she refuses to wear a mask.

“There’s members of my caucus who live with or care for people who aren’t as healthy as we would like, and the fact that we could possibly expose those family members to this virus as well is really troubling," Quezada said.

The legislative session begins on Monday, Jan. 11th, following Gov. Doug Ducey’s State of the State address.
