Gov. Ducey To Give Remote State Of The State Address; Legislature Opens 2021 Session

It’s opening day at the state Capitol, as lawmakers will be sworn in and Gov. Doug Ducey will give his annual State of the State address. But the day will look, sound and probably feel a lot different this year.

Legislators will be subject to health and safety protocols and the governor will give his speech not from the House floor, but via video from his office.

For more about what’s coming up at the Capitol, The Show spoke with Howie Fischer of Capitol Media Services.

And to preview the speech, The Show spoke with Kirk Adams, former Arizona House Speaker and Gov. Ducey’s former chief of staff.
