All the January appointments for COVID-19 vaccines at the State Farm Stadium site have been filled. But Gov. Doug Ducey and the state Department of Health Services are launching a second state vaccination site.
The 24/7 site in Glendale opened Monday night and more than 87,000 appointments have been scheduled there.
Another vaccination site is scheduled to open at Phoenix Municipal Stadium near Papago Park in February.
Ducey said in a statement that the new site will dramatically boost the number of Arizonans who can get the vaccine.
It will be open during daytime hours only and the number of appointments will depend on how many vaccine doses are available. Registration for that site will open Jan. 19 at 9 a.m.
