Feds Arrest Arizona Man Known As 'Baked Alaska' In Connection With Capitol Riot

Federal authorities say they’ve arrested another Arizona man on suspicion of taking part in the violent insurrection of President Donald Trump supporters at the U.S. Capitol.

Anthime Gionet, known online as "Baked Alaska," is suspected of violent entry of the U.S. Capitol and other crimes.

The FBI’s probable cause statement describes a livestream video taken and posted to social media by Gionet himself. Gionet is reportedly seen inside the Capitol, and heard chanting things like “traitors, traitors, traitors” and “1776, baby.”

Near the end of the video, Gionet reportedly tells police that he’s a journalist. But he’s soon allegedly heard calling officers obscenities.

Federal authorities say Gionet was arrested in Houston.
