The Show regularly checks in with the Editorial Board of the Arizona Republic to talk about current issues facing the state and the region — featured in columns on the newspaper’s op-ed pages.
In his State of the State address earlier this month, Gov. Doug Ducey announced he would be advocating for tax cuts in Arizona’s next fiscal year. That’s no surprise, considering Ducey said he wanted to reduce taxes every year he was in office.
But in a Republic column over the weekend, Bob Robb argued that Ducey isn’t ambitious enough and the state should try to bring about true tax reform.
The Show spoke with Phil Boas of the Republic about Robb’s perspectives — including how they’re shaped by voters approving Invest in Ed Proposition 208 in November.
