Ducey Allocates Another $1 Million To A Statewide Program Helping Arizona Restaurants

Gov. Doug Ducey announced an additional $1 million for a statewide program to help Arizona restaurants and other dining establishments expand outdoor seating.

The Safest Outside Restaurant Assistance Program was initially a $1 million investment announced in December. Ducey since then added $2 million in early January and another $1 million on Tuesday.

The $1 million comes from the state’s Crisis Contingency and Safety Net Fund, and is being allocated to eligible establishments to help them purchase outdoor furniture and barriers, to lessen the spread of COVID-19 while serving customers.

Eligible applicants must comply with all COVID-19 related executive orders, among other requirements.
