More than 3,700 new COVID-19 infections were reported Feb. 1, though there is typically a weekend lag in data.
Nearly 660,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered so far in Arizona; that’s as of Jan. 31. Gov. Doug Ducey told The Show last week he wants to see that number ramped up.
“It's time we hustle it up with the vaccines. We need to get more vaccines in more people's arms with more of a sense of urgency," Ducey said.

The governor issued guidance to allow the state to take vaccines from providers that aren't using them quickly enough and get them to places where they will go into arms sooner.
On Feb. 1, the state is also opening a new mass vaccination site at Phoenix Municipal Stadium at Van Buren Street and Galvin Parkway.
