Contempt Hearing, Ethics Complaints To Come At Arizona Capitol

The Arizona Senate today is poised to vote to hold the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors in contempt, for failing to turn over election materials lawmakers had demanded in a subpoena.

It’s the latest move in a back-and-forth between the two GOP-majority bodies over the Senate’s desire to conduct an audit of November’s presidential election.

And on Thursday, the Senate Ethics Committee will proceed with its investigation of a complaint against new state Sen. Wendy Rodgers (R-Flagstaff). Meanwhile, the House is considering a resolution to expel Rep. Mark Finchem (R-Oro Valley) over his role in the Jan. 6 riot in Washington.

For more on those stories and what else is to come this week at the state Capitol, The Show spoke with Howie Fischer of Capitol Media Services.
