The Arizona Senate today is poised to vote to hold the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors in contempt, for failing to turn over election materials lawmakers had demanded in a subpoena.
It’s the latest move in a back-and-forth between the two GOP-majority bodies over the Senate’s desire to conduct an audit of November’s presidential election.
And on Thursday, the Senate Ethics Committee will proceed with its investigation of a complaint against new state Sen. Wendy Rodgers (R-Flagstaff). Meanwhile, the House is considering a resolution to expel Rep. Mark Finchem (R-Oro Valley) over his role in the Jan. 6 riot in Washington.
