Arizona has long had one of the nation’s lowest weekly unemployment benefits with a maximum payout of $240. Though it’s been mentioned in many legislative sessions, there hasn’t been a bipartisan push to increase that number.
The pandemic may have changed that attitude, at least among a few Republicans.
