Public safety officials in Lake Havasu City are asking the public for help solving a string of arsons in the area Monday.
The Lake Havasu City Police Department says it is investigating a series of fires throughout the city that began Monday morning.
Several vehicles were found fully engulfed in flames and multiple wood pallets were discovered on fire in another location shortly after.
Police say they responded to five additional fires Monday afternoon, all of which were new homes under construction.
Detectives named 47-year-old Jeremy Chelgren as a suspect in the arson investigation and are asking for the public’s help to find him. Chelgren is believed to be driving a dark grey 2020 Chevy Malibu with California license plates.
