Record-Setting Cold Weather In Texas Reignites Debate Over Energy Regulations

Texas has been hit with some of the coldest temperatures in its history this week, and that has resulted in scary scenes of power outages and stories of homes with internal temperatures below 50 degrees. That reality has renewed intense debates over energy regulation — Texas is an unregulated state — and what is the best policy balance. And politicians and fundraising groups of conservative and progressive perspectives have begun their finger-pointing.

To get a broad view, The Show spoke with former Arizona Corporation Commission Chair Marc Spitzer, who is currently an attorney in Virginia.
