Pima County is starting to recover from last week’s vaccine delays.
Winter weather became an obstacle for the county to receive shipments but Pima’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Francisco García says there are still some issues.

“The weather-affected doses appear to be on the ground and are getting into people’s arms, but we are still experiencing a little bit of a delay in those other doses. What that means is that we continue to mostly concentrate on second dose administration," García said.
García also says before the end of the week, a quarter of a million people in the county will have been vaccinated, despite delays.
So far, more than 16% of Pima’s population have received their first dose.
