The NCAA is alleging nine rules violations against the University of Arizona, five of which are in the category considered the most serious.
Head basketball coach Sean Miller isn’t directly implicated, but is held responsible for the actions of two assistants, who are accused of a series of recruiting violations. Those include paying for fraudulent credit so a player would be eligible.
The university had resisted releasing the details of the violations, but did so late last week after a judge sided with ESPN, which was seeking them.
For more about the situation, The Show spoke with Bruce Pascoe, a reporter with the Arizona Daily Star. He covers UA sports, but mainly their basketball.
