That also manifests itself in what networks we listen to or watch and the social media we use. And those social media outlets are often the places we read insulting comments or disrespect for other perspectives.
Fernanda Santos has been a reporter for the New York Times from her Phoenix home and has seen her share of insults and criticism. And that has no doubt increased since she joined the Washington Post as an opinions columnist.
The Show spoke with Santos about journalism and her career transition.
