Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine Trials For Children Begin

Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine trials are underway for children between the ages of 6 months and 12 years old.

Dr. Shad Marvasti with the University of Arizona’s College of Medicine says families can sign up their children as registration opens this week.

“It’s very promising that we’re seeing the trials underway for younger children, and I’m glad that Valley families and children can participate in this important endeavor as a part of science," Marvasti said.

Marvasti says although fewer children contract COVID-19 than adults, it's still important to take precautions and work towards a child vaccine.

Families can get more information and sign their children up by calling MedPharmics in Phoenix at (602) 368-1928.
