U.S. Offering $37,000 For Information About Endangered Mexican Grey Wolf's Suspicious Death

After an endangered Mexican gray wolf’s suspicious death in Arizona last month, U.S. officials are offering a combined award of up to $37,000 for information that can lead to an arrest.

The wolf was found in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests.

Officials ask that anyone with information about a vehicle that was stopped or driving slowly near the Saffel Canyon Trailhead the evening of Feb. 18 to contact the Arizona Game and Fish Department at 1-800-352-0700 or the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service at 1-844-FWS-TIPS (397-8477).

Informants may remain anonymous.
