"Icon" is a word that seems to be used more and more often to describe things that, sometimes, don’t deserve the label. But when it comes to the Sonoran Desert and nature in Arizona, there’s no doubt that the saguaro cactus is an icon.
The March issue of Arizona Highways magazine is devoted to images and words about the Saguaro. The Show spoke with Editor Robert Stieve for more about why the publication put that particular cactus in the spotlight.
