Election security has been a sticking point for many members of the Arizona Legislature over the past few months, prompting several bills focused on election reform.
One Phoenix-based elections expert says elections in Arizona are already secure.
Kevin Runbeck is the chairman of Runbeck Election Services, a company that’s worked on Arizona-based elections for almost 50 years. Their work includes last year’s presidential election.
He says the claims of election fraud in November haven’t come back with proof.
“Those have never come back to us with any sort of physical proof that anything has happened, so it’s really hard to substantiate a rumor, or someone just speculating,” said Runbeck.
Runbeck says he has no doubts about the security of his facility and invites elected officials to take a tour to see for themselves.
