Phoenix, Police Union Reach Deal On New Contract

Phoenix officials have struck a new deal with the union that represents about 2,600 police officers and detectives.

All this contract needs is approval from the City Council, which is scheduled to vote April 7, after the public gets to sound off.

Hours-long pushback on police at council meetings have become an often-used strategy for reform activists.
