The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported on April 18 that 84 million Americans have been fully vaccinated and 131 million have had at least one shot.
There is concern that while vaccines protect the recipient from contracting COVID-19, there are still unknowns concerning the rate of transmission by the vaccinated population.
The question remains: Can a person pass COVID-19 to others even if he or she is vaccinated? Earlier this month, the CDC recommended that people who have been vaccinated continue to mask up when in public, and to avoid medium-to-large gatherings of people.
