Nearly 40% of teens reported symptoms of moderate to severe depression last year, amidst the pandemic, but social media has been a key in helping them stay connected.
Those are among the findings of a new report from Common Sense Media, which also showed more than half of teens who had a COVID-19 case in their family reported symptoms of severe depression, with the percentage even higher among LGBTQ teens.
