A statewide pollshows that 70% of Arizonans consider themselves happy.
Mike Noble with survey firm O.H. Predictive Insights says despite the ongoing pandemic, many Arizonans feel happier than they did 6 months ago. He surveyed one thousand people 18 and older.
"Even when facing an exhausting set of extraordinary back to back situations from 2020 to now, Arizona’s overall mood has improved and 40% are happier now than they were six months ago, compared to only 18% who are less happy."
Age and gender showed differences with 74% of men saying they were happy, compared to 64% of women. And 76% of adults over 55 were happy compared to just 63% of adults 18 to 54.
Religion also played a part in the poll. Christians were the most happy of the groups, and the least happy were atheists, agnostics and Mormons.
