ASU Zine Collection preserves history through self-published expression

Zines, the small, self-published mini-magazines, have been around for decades.

Often tied to various subcultures, zines gained massive popularity In the ‘70s and ‘80s with the rise of the punk scene.

But zines are so much more than music-fan writings.

KJZZ’s Katherine Davis-Young joined The Show and spoke with Rachel Leket-Mor, associate librarian at Arizona State University and the creator of the ASU Zine Collection, to learn about the evolution of zines.
