HighGround, a Phoenix-based polling company, recently surveyed likely 2022 Arizona voters to find out how a portion of the electorate feels about the ongoing 2020 election audit.
Paul Bentz, the company’s chief pollster, says constituents aren’t backing politicians who support the audit.
“Our polling also found that 44% of voters were less likely to vote for an audit supporter, compared to only 33% who are more likely, so you’re actually moving people in the wrong direction by backing this audit,” said Bentz.
Bentz says supporting the audit could lead to losses in statewide elections, as well as swing districts.
The results showed that 90% of surveyed Democrats oppose the audit, and 78% of surveyed Republicans support it.
